Behavioral Health
At Advocare Pediatric Health, we recognize that a child’s emotional, behavioral, and developmental well-being is just as important as their physical health. Our practice offers behavioral health evaluation and management within the pediatric medical home, providing families with trusted guidance in a familiar setting.
Pediatric Behavioral Healthcare
Behavioral and developmental concerns can affect children at many stages of growth. We support families navigating challenges such as:
- Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Autism spectrum concerns
- Emotional and behavioral regulation difficulties
Our approach focuses on early identification, medical evaluation, ongoing monitoring, and coordination of care. When appropriate, we also collaborate with schools, therapists, and specialists to ensure children receive comprehensive support.
Autism Evaluations
Dr. Emanuel has been caring for children and families in our community since 1983 and brings decades of experience to pediatric behavioral and developmental care. He has a special interest in mental health and developmental diagnoses, including ADD, ADHD, and Autism. He has achieved certification in the STAT screening tool for the diagnosis of autism, allowing for timely evaluation and guidance for families when concerns arise.
While Dr. Emanuel does not replace the role of a psychiatrist or psychologist, he provides an important level of medical behavioral health assessment and management, helping families take the next appropriate steps in care.
If you have concerns about your child’s behavior, attention, or development, we encourage you to speak with our team to determine whether a behavioral health evaluation may be appropriate.
