Leonardo Lopez, DO, FAAP

Dr. Lopez has been a trusted part of our practice for over two decades, building strong relationships with families and helping children thrive from their very first checkup to their teenage years. His journey began at Rutgers University, where he graduated with honors, and continued at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning his medical degree in 1999 with honors. His commitment to excellence was recognized when he was inducted into the Psi Sigma Alpha Osteopathic Honor Society.

Today, Dr. Lopez serves as Vice Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at CentraState Medical Center and previously held the role of Chairman from 2008 to 2010. He also brings his expertise to Jersey Shore Medical Center, ensuring that children receive the highest level of care across the community.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Lopez understands the importance of clear communication and cultural sensitivity. He takes time to listen, answer questions, and make every family feel at ease. His approach is warm, compassionate, and centered on creating a positive experience for both parents and kids.

Outside the office, Dr. Lopez is an adventurer at heart! He loves biking scenic trails, skiing down snowy slopes, playing guitar, and exploring the great outdoors. Traveling with his wife and two daughters is one of his favorite ways to unwind and discover new places.
