Dr. Mayer, MD, IBCLC, a dedicated pediatrician who has been caring for children and families in our community since 1995. Dr. Mayer is passionate about helping parents feel confident and supported throughout their child’s growth and development. Her approachable, family-centered style ensures that every visit is a positive experience.

Dr. Mayer  is a New Jersey physician who holds dual certification as both  a pediatrician and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), making her a trusted resource for families navigating breastfeeding challenges. 

Dr. Mayer graduated Cum Laude from Loyola University of Chicago in 1982 and earned her medical degree from Chicago Medical School in 1988. She currently serves as Chairman of the Pediatric Department at CentraState Medical Center, where she previously held the role of Vice Chairman from 2008 to 2010. She is also on staff at Jersey Shore Medical Center.

Dr. Mayer believes that every child and family deserves compassionate, individualized care. She strives to create a supportive environment where parents feel empowered and informed, especially during the critical early stages of a child’s life. Her approach combines evidence-based medicine with empathy, ensuring families receive both expert guidance and reassurance.

Outside of her professional work, Dr. Mayer enjoys spending time with her two sons and traveling.
